Medium US Airborne Riggers Pouch - Tan

Authentic reproduction WW2 American Airborne riggers pouch in tan with lift-the-dot snap button.

These US Army riggers pouch slide onto your pistol belt. They were designed to hold grenades, ammunition or other essential tools needed by airborne troops jumping into battle. This pouch can be seen in khaki flanked by the tie up and larger variants in the image to the left. American WWII Paratroopers often wore 2-3 of these pouches around their waist.

Riggers pouches were produced at a unit level, naturally leading to some variation. The lift-the-dot type fastening was more commonly found during the North Africa and Italian campaigns, though they continued to be used during D-Day and Operation Market Garden. The tie-down variant was more common during the later stages of the war.
