Hawker Hurricane Coaster
Brand new Hawker Hurricane coaster as part of our new RAF themed cup coaster range.
Designed in the 1930's by Sir Sydney Camm and his team, the Hawker Hurricane prototype (K5083) first flew on the 6th November 1935. Often the 'unsung hero' of the Battle of Britain, Hurricane's and their RAF counterparts, took on the might of the Luftwaffe, defending the skies of Britain in the summer of 1940. The Hurricane was to eventually be developed throughout the war, having various improvements and adaptions to perform roles such as fighter/bomber interceptors, Ground Support, Fighter Bombers and even a naval version (known as the Sea-Hurricane) to fly from aircraft carriers.
Produced from 1937-1944, a total of 14,583 Hawker Hurricanes were built.
These cup coasters depict a flying Hawker Hurricane on a white background. Each coaster measures 9 cm by 9 cm and is 3.17 mm thick. The coasters are made from hardboard with a durable glossy finish.
These lovely cup coasters would make a great addition to any home or as a gift for a loved one.
