French WW1 Adrian Helmet - Imperfect
French WW1 Adrian Helmet - Imperfect
The Adrian helmet (French: Casque Adrian) was an influential design of combat helmet originally produced for the French Army during World War I.
This original version, the M15, was the first standard helmet of the French Army and was designed when millions of French troops were engaged in trench warfare, and head wounds from the falling shrapnel generated by indirect fire became a frequent cause of battlefield casualties.
Introduced in 1915, the Adrian was the first modern steel helmet and its design served as the basic helmet of many armies well into the 1930s.
Each helmet comes with a leather liner and chinstrap.
Say oui, and grab an Adrian today.
Please note: These helmets are being sold as imperfect due to rust marks (shown in the images) under the liner. The marks do not detract from the outer helmet, however, and they would be perfect for displays or for someone willing to rectify the rust issue.
