DAK Tropical Tall Boots
Quality reproduction WW2 German Afrika Korps Tall Tropical boots.
DAK (Deutsche Afrika-Korps) soldiers serving in North Africa were issued with both the tall knee-length and short ankle variants of these boots, made from canvas and leather. It was believed that canvas would be more suited to the North African climate than the traditional full leather boots of the German military. The first concept of these boots was produced at the Tropical Institute of the University of Hamburg in 1940 for use during the impending German campaign in North Africa.
These tall DAK boots are green canvas with quality brown leather, complete with lace up fronts and hobnails on the sole. A must have for any DAK reenactor!
