British Free Corps Volunteer Shield
Reproduction shield worn by members of the Waffen-SS British Free Corps.
The British Free Corps (BFC) was a unit within the Waffen-SS, consisting of British and Commonwealth POWs who had been recruited by Nazi Germany. In March 1945 the BFC was attached to 11th SS Division 'Nordland' and saw combat against the Red Army before surrendering to US forces.
