British Army Infantry
The British Army traces back to 1707 and the formation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain which joined the Kingdoms of England and Scotland into a single state and, with that, united the English Army and the Scots Army as the British Army.
During World War 2, the British Army fought in many theatres and battles - Europe, Far East, Mediterranean and Middle East theatres. By the end of the Second World War in September 1945, over 3.5 million men and women had served in the British Army, which had suffered around 720,000 casualties throughout the conflict.
Here we have a selection of uniforms and equipment as used by the British Army Infantry regiments.
