Airfix Messerschmitt Bf109E Starter Set
These are Airfix model sets of the German Messerschmitt Bf109E Fighter Plane.
Unveiled in 1935, the Bf109E had become the Luftwaffe's main fighter by the time WW2 began. The plane distinguished itself in combat in the skies above Europe and by the summer of 1940 stood ready to confront the RAF. By the end of the summer, the RAF had emerged victorious but the Bf109E's reputation as a formidable fighter survived intact.
The paint scheme for this particular model is the Messerschmitt Bf109E-3 aircraft flown by Oblt. Werner Pichon-Kalau von Hofe, III./JG 51, France, 1940.
These Airfix Starter Sets are ideal for beginners. Each Small Starter Set includes glue, a brush and four acrylic paints - all that is needed to complete a fabulous first kit!
