WW2 German Diplomatic Cap Eagle made from gold bullion wire on a black backing.
Introduced prior to the outbreak of WW2, the German Diplomatic Cap Eagle was worn by diplomatic officials and government functionaries as part of their formal uniform. They feature a prominent gold eagle which is stylistically distinct from most other German eagles. These impressive replicas are made from a black wool backing, with the eagle made from gold bullion wire.
