SS Officers Sleeve Eagle - SS Arm Eagle - Silver bullion thread
The Eagle, a strong Germanic icon for centuries and redesigned by Hitler and his NSDAP for use by his new armed forces. The SS Sleeve eagle again came in many variations and styles but the officers sleeve eagle was always a hand or machine embroidered patch constructed from a silver bullion wire on a felt wool backing, The eagle motif for the SS was soon standardized and stayed this way until the end of the war in their various construction methods.
The correct placement for the sleeve eagle is approximately 16cm down from the shoulder seam on the left arm.
