German Panzer/Armoured Uniforms In this section you will find Panzer Uniforms and Armoured Crew/Artillery uniforms. Panzer uniforms worn by the troops in WW2 can identified by either the 'Army' cut style and the Waffen SS style.
Currently we only have advertised the field grey, black and M44 Dot HBT camouflage Panzer uniforms, if you want the reed-green or Oak Leaf style patterns also worn by German Panzer soldiers in World War 2, we can order these.
The German translation for Panzer uniforms is ‘Sonderbekleidung der Deutschen Panzertruppen’ meaning Special Uniform for German Armoured Troops. Panzer wraps were issued to Artillery and Assault gun troops, Tank Crews and Maintenance crews. Wool garments were worn in the winter whilst the HBT type garments were normally worn during the hotter Summer months. The uniforms were designed to reduce the amount of exposed buttons and cloth that could get snagged when operating a tank or an artillery gun.
