This is an exquisite replica of the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal and is ideal for the collector or as a replacement.
This commemorative medal was created in 2012 to honour the 60 years Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne and served our country faithfully.
Each medal features an effigy of the Queen surrounded by the Latin abbreviation "ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REGINA FID. DEF translated to "Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith". On the reverse is faceted hexagon with a crowned Royal cypher with the years 1952 and 2012 underneath.
These are stunning new productions and the only difference form the originals is that these have a discreet 'copy' written on the reverse side of the medal, this can clearly be seen in the pictures.
These medals are made in Great Britain by one of the finest and oldest medal and military accoutrement manufacturers (UK Medal Office Approved) in the country so you know that in terms of quality these cannot be beaten.
To clarify, these medals are MoD approved reproductions of the genuine issue medals and can be issued without reservation or application. The original genuine medals can only be issued through application to the MoD/ UK government.
