The material is correct as well as the colour, with full cut straight legs, high waist, V-back rear waist with adjustable belt, dished metal buttons, button fly, watch pocket with chain hanger, straight bottoms, these trousers are the nearest to original M40 trousers you can get. The cut of the M40 trousers is identical to the M37 trousers, there is a slight difference in the colour of the wool as with all WW2 German wool clothing there is no exact colour.
