These original ammo tins were made for the German Bundeswehr to store ammunition for MG3s. Their similarities to the MG34 and MG42 tins of WW2 make them ideal for reenactors.
The MG3 was a general purpose machine gun modelled on the MG42s of WW2 (and before that the MG34), making these tins ideal for re-enactors. These are also suitable for a wide range of uses; they make great containers for tools or for your emergency bits and pieces in the boot of your car.
Please note these do not contain any ammunition. They have issued, so will show many signs of use, and have been heavily rusted and marked in places from use and storage. However, they were made for Military use, and so have been built to last. They're still more than ready for action!
Great pieces of Bundeswehr surplus, these Ammo Boxes are ideal for any WW2 Maschinengewehr reenactor.
