A pair of German Army Officers epaulettes.
Crimson is the Waffenfarbe of the High Command of the Wehrmacht, General Staff Corps Officers and of the Veterinary service. The ornate pattern on the epaulettes is for Stabsoffiziere, the ranks of Major, Oberstleutnantand and Oberst. (Maj.-Col.)
These high quality shoulder boards are made up from a silver/grey braid, with a crimson wool base.
